Branding Yourself As a Leader in Your Network Marketing Business

Like it or not, unless you are perceived as a leader, you will have a really hard time getting anyone but your friends and family to join your network marketing business.  If you are tired of getting rejected and never making any sales, then this is the perfect time for you to learn how to brand yourself as a leader.

Leaders are people who naturally draw others to them.  They are positive, and appear to be successful.  They make others want to emulate them.  A leader in network marketing will always have hundreds of people in their downline because people will naturally flock to them.  Some people are natural leaders.  You can tell them apart even at a young age if you look at the elementary school yard. 

Luckily, with the internet, even a shy person can become a leader.  That’s why a great place to start branding yourself as a leader is online.  When you brand yourself as a leader online, people can find you 24 hours a day, even when you are asleep.  They can find out about your business, sell themselves on it, and actually ask to join you as their leader!

Start by using your real name in everything you do.  You may have been told before to never use your real information online, but branding yourself as a leader requires that you set yourself out there for people to see. 

Log on to some forums that deal with your business.  For example, someone who sells weight loss products would want to join weight loss forums.  Start reading and responding to forum posts, and leave quality answers.  At the bottom of each post, leave your signature with your website.  Don’t try to post advertisements for your business;you will seem desperate.  Remember that successful leaders are never desperate; they have people chasing them!

Next, create a YouTube account with your real name and start recording videos about your business and about how to market it.  People who watch your videos will start to see what you have to offer them and they will want to learn how to do what you do.

Finally, make sure that when people join you, you have a lot you can teach them about marketing.  If you are just starting out, or if you have been doing this for a while but don’t feel confident yet, try to find a system that will help you market online.  A good system will not only teach you how to market; it will also help you brand yourself as a leader in others’ eyes.
